2018 has been a year of learning & reflection to answer the question ‘what is my personal photog style?’ - most critiques comment favorably on images that capture emotion, mood and moments — essentially people say they ‘tell a story’, ‘capture personalities’ and ‘make me feel like I was present’.
I’ve grown increasingly comfortable with the notion that some blur, a little grain and soft-focus is acceptable. it’s with this in mind, I began to worry less about exactitude & clinical precision but to embrace the risk that photography, to be good, doesn't have to be technically flawless,
Late last year I swapped out my ‘best of breed’ state-of-the art modern zooms for both manual-focus & auto-focus prime glass. Just done Zoom remains - for the track !
